Organ Appeal CD

Front of CD Recorded in 2008, the music on this Compact Disk has been chosen to illustrate the rich variety of pipework in the organ, the 1720 work of Abraham Jordan, and the 1897 pipework of William Hill (and some earlier builders). It includes european organ music in vogue at the turn of the 19/20th century together with music from the early 18th century. The final piece is a jolly bridge between the two epochs from a prolific Italian composer who is exploiting the potential for theatrical use of an instrument first designed for the church.

All the people who have contributed to this CD have given freely of their services, so that every penny raised from sales goes towards the restoration of the organ.
